Thank you for expressing interest in volunteering for HOU.SEC.CON. 2025! We could not host this event without the support of our volunteers, and we appreciate your enthusiasm and willingness to be part of our team. Volunteering offers a unique opportunity to engage with industry professionals, connect with like-minded individuals, and contribute to a vibrant cybersecurity conference focused on growth and knowledge sharing.

Mandatory Shift Availability

Choose the shifts you are committed to working if chosen. Volunteers are required to work a minimum of 2 conference day shifts. 

Shift Schedule (includes time for lunch):
AM = 7:00AM - 1:00PM
PM = 11:00AM - 6:00PM

  • I acknowledge that filling out this form does not guarantee a volunteer position at this year’s conference. 

  • I agree to be contacted regarding a volunteer position.

  • I agree to work a minimum of two shifts if I am selected to volunteer. 

  • I understand that my employment status does not affect my eligibility to volunteer. 

HOU.SEC.CON. 2025 Volunteer Guidelines

To ensure a positive and productive volunteering experience for everyone, we kindly ask you to review and comply with the following guidelines:

1. Professionalism: Present yourself in a professional manner at all times. Treat attendees, speakers, sponsors, and fellow volunteers with respect, kindness, and courtesy.
2. Punctuality: Arrive on time for your assigned shifts and fulfill your responsibilities until the designated end time. Notify the Volunteer Wrangler in advance if you are unable to attend a shift.
3. Responsibility: Take your assigned duties seriously and complete them to the best of your ability. Seek guidance from the Volunteer Wrangler or team leads if you have any questions or require assistance.
4. Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with the Volunteer Wrangler and other volunteers. Notify the Volunteer Wrangler immediately of any issues, concerns, or changes in availability.
5. Confidentiality: Respect the confidentiality of any sensitive information you may come across during your volunteer activities. Do not disclose or share any confidential information without proper authorization.
6. Code of Conduct: Adhere to the HOU.SEC.CON. code of conduct, which promotes inclusivity, diversity, and a harassment-free environment for all participants. Report any incidents or violations to the Volunteer Wrangler or event organizers.
7. Dress Code: Follow the designated dress code guidelines provided for volunteers. Dress professionally and wear any identification badges or volunteer apparel provided by the event organizers.
8. Safety: Prioritize your safety and the safety of others. Familiarize yourself with emergency exits and procedures. Report any safety concerns or hazards to the Volunteer Wrangler or event staff immediately.
9. Volunteer Materials: Return any equipment, materials, or supplies issued to you for volunteering at the end of your shift or event. Handle them with care and report any damages or losses.
10. Have Fun: Embrace the opportunity to engage, learn, and enjoy the experience. HOU.SEC.CON. thrives on the passion and energy of our volunteers. Let's make this event a memorable one together!
